How to run a sales enablement squad

A sales-enablement mission runs as a closed loop on the Go-to-Market Squad. You draw the path in the mission goals: the competitor, the product facts that may be used, and the asset you need. The Mission Commander works inside that path and assigns the battlecard to Pitch. Steering is the approval step. Pitch does not send the one-pager to a prospect.

The squad you import

The template is the Go-to-Market Squad, on /squads. Pitch, Sales Enablement, builds one-pagers, objection handling, and battlecards from real product facts, and can capture proof points as snippets.

Scout, Reach, Ring, Price, and Launch are on the same template. They get cards only if the goals include a prospect list, outbound email, calls, pricing, or a launch timeline. Weekly competitor watching is a different squad: Radar, on the Market Research Squad. Pitch builds the asset from the facts you put in the folder.

You do this in the xSquads desktop app, on a folder of your own files. Mac now, with Windows coming soon. The product page is xSquads for Work.

How the mission runs

Step 1. Import the Go-to-Market Squad

Open the squad templates and import the Go-to-Market Squad onto the mission. Keep Pitch. Remove Scout, Reach, Ring, Price, and Launch if the only asset is the battlecard.

Step 2. Connect treg and Vapi

The Go-to-Market Squad page lists treg and Vapi as required before this template runs. treg pulls live lead and company data. Vapi places and records calls. Connect both on import. This mission does not build a list and does not dial, so Scout, Reach, and Ring should not get cards.

Step 3. Create the mission and set the goals

Create the mission and write the goals in plain language. Those goals are the path: which competitor, which facts Pitch may use, and which claims are forbidden. Point the mission at the local folder with the product facts, the proof points, and the competitor pages you have already saved. The commander does not get to widen that path. A goal you can start from, as written on the squad page: create a battlecard comparing us with our main competitor.

Step 4. Let the Mission Commander assign the work

Save the mission. The Mission Commander creates tasks on the task board and assigns them only inside the goals you wrote. Pitch takes the battlecard, the objection lines, and the one-pager if you asked for it. Price should not open a pricing model, and Reach should not draft a cold email, unless those jobs are in the goals.

Step 5. Add a task, steer, and approve before sales uses it

Steering is the approval step. Add a task on the board, or correct the Mission Commander in the group chat, when a line is not in the product facts. A useful task to add yourself: delete the pricing row and point objection three at the proof snippet in the folder. Pitch does not send the asset. Start by approving the whole card.

How much to review

Start by approving everything. Autonomy is a dial, not a switch you flip because the table looks full.

Always sign off the competitor, the product facts, and the proof points yourself. Raise the dial only when the next card keeps every line inside those files. A claim with no snippet in the folder goes back. xSquads does not decide what sales is allowed to say.

What the goals have to name

  • The competitor, by name.
  • The product facts and proof points Pitch may quote. If it is not in the folder, it is not on the card.
  • Claims that are forbidden, including pricing if Price is not in this mission.
  • What is out: prospecting, cold email, and calls.
  • You approve before the asset is used. The squad drafts and does not send.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who builds the battlecard?

Pitch, Sales Enablement, on the Go-to-Market Squad. The starting goal on the squad page is a battlecard comparing you with your main competitor.

Can Pitch invent a proof point?

No. The card is built from real product facts in the folder. A line without a snippet goes back in Review.

Is this the same as competitor tracking?

No. Radar, on the Market Research Squad, keeps competitor profiles and a weekly change report. Pitch builds the sales asset from facts you already have.

Why does a battlecard mission connect treg and Vapi?

The Go-to-Market template requires both before it runs. The goals still limit the cards. This mission does not assign Scout, Reach, or Ring.

Does anyone send the one-pager?

You do, after Review, if you choose to. Pitch does not email a prospect.
